In the small town of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania is where I grew up. My parents have blessed me with not only love and support, but also instilled morals and values that I will take with me throughout my entire life. When it was time for me to finally graduate High School I just couldnt shake the feeling of uncertainty. I didn't know where I was supposed to be or who I was to become after I walked across that stage. I saw my siblings and friends becoming doctors, physical therapists, entrepreneurs or teachers. Unfortunately, I just didn't want to be any of those. Those typically jobs just didn't peak my interest. Did anyone really understand? Their lives were falling into place and then there was me, frustrated. Three months after graduation I attended East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania in search for a potential career.
I looked back on my life. From a very early age I needed to try everything. I've done numerous sports, played multiple instruments and invested my time in quantum amounts of hobbies as I navigated my own, unconventional way through life. This summer was all about working with wood. There is no better feeling than seeing something created out of nothing. The bottom line was that my parents as well as myself never wanted to look back at my life and feel regret. My experiences, no matter how big or small have molded me into the person I am today and, for that reason alone, I will be forever greatful. As long as I can remember, art was always a passion of mine. I love to think I got my artistic talents from my dad. Drawing, painting, and sculpting were all things we were both so enthusiastic about. Later, we both shared a love of photography, but I'll get more into that topic later. In my need to be different, or shall I say unique, I eventually made way into the sport of Short Track Speed Skating. I've traveled near and far and met some of the most prestigious in the sport. I consider myself to be a well-rounded girl who just wants to experience the world without limits.
I came to the conclusion that there was nothing at ESU for me so I looked into other options. I am currently attending California University of Pennyslvania where I am getting a Degree in Applied Engineering (Graphics and Multimedia program) and Technology with a Marketing minor. After I graduate in the fall of 2016 I plan to travel to Berlin, Germany to enter into an intensive photography degree workshop.
