About the Artist

In what was supposed to be the city Pittsburgh, Jensen DeCarlo was born and raised in Brownsville, Pennsylvania (south of actual Pittsburgh).

Jensen started his musical journey once the internet had drug him in at the age of 8-ish. Once there, he wandered into one of the few websites he knew, Youtube, and was never the same again. Fast forward a couple decades, a bachelor's degree, and lots of minor anguish, Jensen is now the freelance artist that he is today.

Education

Captivated by the virtual worlds he wanted to be a part of and create, Jensen began his adult education at California University of Pennsylvania majoring in Commercial Music Technology with a minor in Business. While at Cal U, Jensen acquired all of the skills necessary to excel at created a sonic world for various media types with the intent to create and drive a narrative.

Tools of the Trade

Starting with Alto Saxophone after 7th grade, Jensen moved onto Tuba, and his Primary instrument, the Bass Guitar. He is also an experienced Piano and keyboard instrumentalist, as well as enjoys the classical Indian instrument staples, the Sitar and Tabla. He is also an experimentalist with the microtonal keyboard instrument, The Tonal Plexus, as well as Fretless Bass Guitar.

He is also an Avid certified Pro Tools User, as well being experienced with Ableton Live, both programs in professional music and sound design creation.
