ACOUSTIC GUITAR STRINGS

As an avid guitar player who owns a Fender acoustic-electric, having high-quality strings is a must when playing in the studio. This is why I use Ernie Ball Earthwood Medium Light strings. I used these strings to record acoustic guitar parts on my newest Blue Navy album. They are very comfortable and feel good on the fingers. They are also easy to put on and off.

 ELECTRIC GUITAR STRINGS

Despite owning an acoustic guitar, my electric hollowbody is my primary; therefore, I frequently use Ernie Ball Not Even Slinky strings. Due to their heaviness, the strings do not easily break. Also, these strings are optimal for detuning, and as someone who experiments with alternative tunings, these strings are ideal.

PICKS

Guitar picks are absolutely essential if you want good guitar tones when playing and recording. Although I typically use Fender Heavy picks, this Medium Keith Urban is special. My friend Austin gave me this pick soon after I met him at Cal U. Not to mention, it is easy on the strings, creates great sounds, and feels good when playing.

CAPO

Capos are incredibly useful. Their function is to change musical keys instantly by applying pressure to the frets on the guitar. Even though I enjoy alternative tunings, capos can save time, as you do not have to tune the strings. Applying a capo on my guitars can also allow me to discover new sounds and create new musical ideas and melodies.

CORDS

Cords are absolutely necessary if you're playing an electric guitar, as they allow the guitar's sound to be amplified and heard. I use CBI GA1 Performer Series cords. They are light, do not tangle, and transfer sound energy fluently. They also come in various sizes and are compatible with my pedals.
