Intro. to Manufacturing

 

In this course students will learn the fundamentals of Manufacturing and complete several hands-on projects. We will start the year off studying these fundamentals. After going over all the necessary machines and tools students will complete a safety test on each tool. Students must obtain a 75 percent or better to operate that tool, this ensures maximum safety. Later we will transition into using the learned fundamentals and tool safety to create several custom projects for the students to take home.

 

Classroom Expectations

   Each student is expected to:

  • Come to class with a positive attitude towards learning
  • Be respectful to their teacher and peers
  • Be respectful or all lab and shop equipment
  • Do their OWN work
  • Ask for help when needed
  • Try their best
  • Behave appropriately for a shop environment (Those who don't get one warning before losing their shop privileges)
  • Be on time
  • Be prepared with required materials
