One of our big projects in S.W.A.T. is designing and creating your own custom t-shirt. To create your t-shirt you will be using the screen printing method. The screening printing method is a longer process, but you get a much better quality t-shirt. Below are some images of the tools and tips about screen printing.
This is the screen frame, screen and base. The base is where the t-shirt will be placed to transfer you custom design.
This is the squeegee. The squeegee presses the paint threw the screen and leaves your custom design on the t-shirt.
There are four different types of screen weaves. These can affect the quality of the print.
This is an example of a custom design. As you can see, the design is placed in the optimum printing area.
In the middle of the screen is the optimum printing area. This the best place to print and minimizes mistakes.
