In The Future

When I think of the aspects of the industry I'd like to see myself in the future, recording is definitely in my horizons and an important aspect of my agenda. however recording is pointless if you have nothing to record, so playing and creating new music is always what I consider a top priority.

Its very important to constantly practice and to improve my playing ability

The Technical Aspect of the industry is something I am not familiar with. However of course I am going to learn about as much as I possibly can.

but I wont exclude my prior knowledge, currently I've never had much of an opportunity to work with recording software, or any hardware. I've never even been within the walls of a studio, But I've had the pleasure of working the a synthesizer and a few amplifiers. I'm hoping that in my future I'll have the chance to work with the more technical aspect and get a chance to work lighting and sound, and even sit at the controls of a studio.

Playing Guitars have taught me some valuable lessons. first: that everyone has a preference

and secondly: its all good. there are definitely far more lessons but I would like to discuss those two and how they've helped me throughout the years or playing.

Electric vs Acoustic

Acoustic is my preference when the choice of playing either is confronted. playing an acoustic has its roots in an older time before modern conventions. where simplicity and peace go hand in hand and steel and wood is all you use to convey your thoughts and ideas. playing it simply has a different feeling.

The electric Guitar however is far more "capable," for lack of better word, the electric has revolutionized sound with its capability in distortion and the various other features that amplifiers permit. Not only is it extremely diverse but its also very loud making it ideal for concerts, however the acoustic is louder when theres no electric but if the electric is flowing and the guitar is amped then the Acoustic stands no chance. But like my last lesson "its all good," despite what you prefer. both are beautiful variants of the same instrument.
