Here is a poster that I created in Adobe Illustrator, a program that works primarily with vector images to create things such as logos, posters, and other graphics. Illustrator was initially released in 1987 and is now on it's 22nd generation, Illustrator CC 2018, at 30 years old.

     To create this poster, I first started a new art board and changed the background color. I then used the rectangle tool to create the various colored blocks, adding a 'rounded corners' style to each. Next, I added my text and then used the ellipse tool to create the flower design in the middle. The last step was then to save my poster and export it as a GIF.
