Intro. to Graphics

 

In this course students will learn the fundamentals of Digital Photography, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator. This course is separated into thirds, spending 5-6 weeks on each portion. Students will start this course learning different styles of photography, each week taking pictures of a couple particular styles. After several weeks of taking photos students will begin to learn the fundamentals of Photoshop, where they will edit and use their photographs to complete other projects. The final third of this course will allow students use pictures and logos they have found on-line to create Laser Engraved projects and Vinyl Stickers. This course is fast paced and covers a lot of material, it will be difficult until students grasp the new content and skills they are learning, after that there are various fun projects planned. The goal of this course is to give students the opportunity to see an array of different skills, hopefully in the end students will learning what they like.

Week 13- Learn to Enhance Logos for Laser Engraving & Vinyl Cutting

Week 14- Learn to use the Vinyl Cutter

Week 15- One and two color vinyl logo making

Week 16- Laser Engraved key chains and logos

Week 17- Laser Engraved name tags

Week 18- Saving Files and Cleaning Up Supplies & Stations

Under the "Graphics" tab students can locate a breakdown of the projects for each week and instructions and examples for the first several photography projects. There will not be examples for each week, I will add them as we continue on. The examples available are for students to gain an understanding of what this course will consist of.
