About Lexia

I am a current standing junior at California University of Pennsylvania in the Graphic Design program. I have always had a sense of creativity ever since I was young. I get my artistic ability from my mom who is an amazing drawer and crafter. I was always drawing when I was younger and enjoyed art classes throughout school more than anything else because it gave me a chance to make something that I wanted to make without being too held back.

While going through high school I really had to start thinking about what I wanted to do in life. At that point I knew I wanted to do something art related but wasn’t sure what would give me the best career options. I had taken a lot of photography classes and was getting pretty good at photoshop and always enjoyed what I could do with it. After doing some research on different careers involving art, I came across graphic design and thought it was perfect for me. It would allow me to continue to be creative while also having a high demand for careers because at that point I knew technology was always going to play a big part in society, so companies and brands will always need graphic designers.

What I would like to do with my degree is find a good standing company, or have multiple clients, that I can advertise for. I don’t have a set idea on what I want to do but I know it involves advertising in some way, using my creativity and artistic ability in whatever way I can.
