Graphic design is defined as the process of communicating visually using illustration, typography, and/or photography. Graphic designers create visual representations of ideas for a number of reasons including corporate design, advertising, and communication design.

Applications:

 

     Graphic design has a wide range of possible applications, from basic needs, such as road signs, to corporate uses, such as advertisements or technical schematics. The way something is designed can help sell or brand a product/idea. Illustrations and diagrams for textbooks can aid in the understanding of the reader. There are a wide variety of graphic design applications that we see in our everyday lives and don't even notice!
